Winter Waits For No One

Icicles reflect the sun in the branches.
Francesca's focus in photography is to stay curious and observant. She enjoys nature, street photography, and photojournalism because those are accessible every day. She finds historical urban photographs to contain a lot of hidden information about humanity and inhumanity based both on what you see and do not see. Artists such as Gordon Parks, Daido Moriyama, and Ming Smith are inspirations.

Project Title: Waiting for Seasons
Project Purpose: The purpose is to depict the anticipation of the seasons each year. It seems that many of us wait in anticipation of the next season, both expecting each season and also being surprised by it. Even though the seasons are clearly defined, we lose track of time and are left in anticipation of the mystery of what follows. Film was chosen for a sense of nostalgia to recall how much seasons play a part in many of our childhoods, both in what we forget and what we cherish.
