A bitten pear, an inside-out fig, bread crumbs, and lemon wedges - perhaps an unexpected, but very suitable way for me to explore the world with a sincere, almost childish-exploratory interest. Working with still-life photography allows me to express this interest through the depth of fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Sometimes the very form and texture suggest an action: cut, break, crush. Also, squeeze and bite. And even eat. This approach allows me to metaphor and "adult" ways of studying the world, concentrating on an important principle - the recognition of the beauty of any state, regardless of external manifestations. Such aestheticization works to accept non-ideality, otherness, and difference while maintaining unity and equality.

My name is Natalya Kolesnikova, I am a photographer and visual artist.

The main medium in which I work is photography, in particular still life. Working with various objects helps me to express my state and my own feelings, and with the help of the aestheticization of my still lives, I strive to show the beauty of any state, regardless of its manifestation.
