Lady and cat, patron saint of worm and flea treatments

POA

I've never done the classic medieval virgin and child image which is so iconic in opus anglicanum. I'm not only an atheist, but I'm not a baby person either. Medieval babies are all hideous little mingers that even someone as saintly as the virgin Mary would struggle to love, so I replaced the baby with cat because I like cats better. A single pearl is used for the pill, which the cat is resisting

I work entirely with medieval techniques and materials, specifically that of opus anglicanum because I enjoy the sophisticated play of light and silk. I'm drawn to the humour of the medieval world, and express the commonality of the human experience by twisting the medieval imagery into something new, I'm drawn to the rich vein of filth in medieval art
