When I was young I was shy and would hide behind my hair which was down to my knees. My identity became entangled with my hair. I was “the woman with the long hair”. I feared I would be nothing without it. It kept me a prisoner.

Hiding behind ones physical gifts can temporarily empower and boast the ego, but it can become a prison. If you stay in that prison, you can save your ego but you can lose your true identity/ soul. I knew there was only one thing I could do to break free…
