‘Their inner thoughts’ series: Panda and Black bear.

In 2010, by chance, I spotted Picasso’s light painting photographs in LIFE magazine online and fell in love with light painting instantly.
Spatial memory, muscle memory, imagination – all using the night as your canvas and a light as your brush.

In 2021, I initiated the creation of this series, The Inner Thoughts.
The rapidly developing human society, urban expansion, global warming, industrial development, and other issues have caused serious pollution and damage to animal habitats. The animals have left their homes, and the overall project focuses on endangered animals.

The first work in this series is the Dodo bird, followed by polar bears, black bears, pandas, and more.

The series consists of 10 works, hoping to record their figures through this art of light painting. It also calls for human attention to nature and biodiversity conservation, otherwise we can only see their appearance in this way in the future.
