83% of the parents had no idea that their kids were cyberbullied. 1 high-school student out of 5 already experienced bullying and 51% of the victims are girls. This new type of bullying happens to younger and younger people and politics are just starting to tackle this issue.

In "Shut Up: A Tribute to Amanda Todd," the artist courageously embodies the heartbreaking story of Amanda Todd, who fell victim to cyber-bullying at the age of 14. Through this performance, the artist places their head in a noose made of an ethernet cable, echoing Amanda's tragic fate. Accompanied by Amanda's own flashcard detailing her suffering, the piece serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of online harassment. Spectators are transformed into silent witnesses, forced to confront the chilling reality of cyber-bullying's impact. The artist's deliberate choice to depict Amanda at their current age underscores the potential for change and intervention, emphasizing the need for empathy, support, and understanding in preventing such tragedies.
