Coca-Cola sold 112 billion bottles last year and just 4 billion refillable plastic ones. Law suited 2 times in 2021-2022 in the US for “misleading information” regarding its ESG communication, Coca-Cola’s claims were qualified as statements that do not include any “promises or measurable data points” by the court. At the same time, Coca-Cola was counted among official sponsors of COP 27 in 2022.

We did this piece to put the light on those companies playing on words and flirting with the boundaries of law to serve a greenwashing agenda in the sight of all. Playing on one of the world’s best-kept secrets, the recipe of its drinks, we want to remind people that behind great promises stands a radically different reality.
