My name is Pierre L. Vassura. I am a self-made and accomplished visual artist and I have been active in the graphic and ceramic fields for as long as I can remember.
I was born in Europe just before World War II and I have travelled throughout Italy, France, Switzerland, Israel and North America. I have worked at various creative posts in different fields before devoting myself full time to my own mode of expression. I set down his roots in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada in 1980 and I have been residing here ever since.
I am member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, the Richmond Art Coalition and Richmond Art Council, and I have displayed my works in various international and local exhibitions and I have been the recipient of several awards.

Artist Statement
I am an artisan who takes, presses, condenses, develops, re-creates and re-arranges the memory, making it my own, bringing it to the present and pushing it to the future. I am inspired by all that surrounds me, what catches my attention, what fixates my imagination. My works are analogies of fables, characters, poems and subjects……which I have created in my style “Analogical Formalism.” I create following my imagination and vibration coming from my thoughts in my style Analogical Formalism. I put together shapes in new combinations, new forms and build new space following the laws of visibility. The pieces that I present to you are as follows:
