Hillside Haven Pty Ltd would like an extension, or complete demolition and rebuild of the current pool house located within the house paddock, to accommodate a creative workshop. The niched concept will allow for the making of artisan sewn, linen products, for the barn, its guests, and the main farmhouse. Moreover, the extension will act as one space for general farm admin. Exterior to the building; they require a carport/garage, to permanently house a vehicle/s. The client would like the space to similarly react to the design of the main house not far from the sight. Additionally, the design should not intrude on the surrounding location/environment; but instead, promote the use of the space, allowing the gardens and views to be further utilised and appreciated.

The client also requires the design of three posters, promoting Hillside Haven’s hosting of a design competition. The posters aim to encourage the public to attend an open, weeklong, fundraiser event, housing a range of young and emerging designers’ designs, showcased across the farm. The idea behind such, is to raise money for local schools and other learning organisations which encourage the growing design industry within the region. Hillside Haven believes the growing population and communities throughout the peninsula can be bene ted by the high calibre eld of designers and associated companies. This competition will allow them to develop a positive reputation and be identifiable within the region.
