"Brother Charles James" participated in an ongoing project called "Looking Back; Seeing Now". He is a member of the descendant community of those enslaved on large plantations on the James River. Sitters are invited to present themselves in whatever manner in which they would like to be seen. Brother Charles is the worship leader of a small Baptist church; he is a great musician and the embodiment of faith and peace.
