Each person is a summation of all the generations before us. I am who I am because of my parents, their parents, their parents, and all those before them, and those interconnected to them.

I keep those who have passed alive through their artifacts of life. In my opinion, the strongest manifestation of life is through physical drawings and design.

Robert Allen McBride, my late grandfather and an artist, writer, and businessman, is manifested
today through my family's memories as well as his advertising drawings, which I saved and protected when he passed in 2011.

His designs, much like mine, are moments of thoughts, personality, and being. One can get a sense of who he was and how he visualized the world through his artwork. His artwork is positioned in connection with mine, which is centered in the spread, as a representation of the impact of him and all the generations before him on myself and all the future generations to come.

Art is physical evidence of being alive.
