Jothii.R is an Abstract Expressionism emerging artist, who paints profound emotions and tells timeless tales through artwork characterized by bold colors, erratic stripes, and delicate layered by layered strokes. Her passion into arts manifest artworks using mixed media mostly using pencil, charcoal, oil paints, acrylic and oil pastels. Apart from exploring imagination, and dreams and evokes a vivid expression of spontaneity, freedom, and flow. She is an expressionist who believes our actions are less natural and more reactive to our current life scenarios and aims to capture this incongruity through vibrant colors, lines, and shapes. Jothii’s love for abstract expressionism led her to walk in the footsteps of legends like Jackson Pollock, Willem De Kooning, Mark Rothko, Lee Krasner, and John Mitchell and leave behind her day job to pursue a career as a full-time contemporary artist. Driven by the desire to portray moods, emotions, and repressed feelings, she draws to illustrate empowerment, liberty, and fearlessness. As an artist, Jothii covers subject matters through impulsive ideas symbolizing her unique personality and distinctive outlook on life. Lively colors, gestural strokes, and spontaneous impressions help her channel emotions and present them freely to captivate and inspire. Through art, she aspires to tap into human behaviors and capture raw feelings and pure inspirations. Jothii specializes in oil paintings and ceramic-based sculptures and has done two solo exhibitions during Covid-19. Passionate about overcoming adversities and transforming struggles into triumphs, she strives to set an example for women artists worldwide. She is on a mission to gain international exposure and present her art to true abstract expressionism lovers far and wide. Jothii embarked on her artistic journey in 2020 without any funding, guidance, or help and achieved success through persistence. Today, she aims to help others do the same, turn their dreams into reality, and create a positive impact on the world. Fascinated by love, life, and all things human, Jothii uses art as a medium to go beyond the ordinary into the extraordinary and is on a conquest to explore the actual truth within through vivid and expressive art. In addition, Jothii meditates vigorously to seek eternal peace. She learned Yoga from an Indian Guru in her childhood and continues to practice it religiously to date. In her leisure, she enjoys a cup of ginger or chamomile tea in the garden while savoring the beauty of nature. Jothii is proud to be a woman artist who looks beyond the ordinary to express life in its purest form. She believes with persistence, patience, and positivity.
