R. Jes

R. Jes, is a self-taught artist and a sculptor, based in Bangkok, with 32 years of painting and exhibiting both publicly & privately.

She started painting professionally in 1996 while living in Hong Kong. She has displayed her works in Italy, Thailand, India, Denmark, Spain and Romania.

In her process of painting, she envisions the spatial organization of the invisible society that exists behind every subject and what information can be gathered to enhance her thoughts. Her best tools for painting are her fingers, using fingers gives her a close contact with her thoughts; an embodied cognition approach.
