Stained Glasswork

Of all deadly sins, sloth probably concerns the least tangible subject: an attitude towards time.

Its perceived value, rooted in its irreversibility, paired with the belief in an afterlife, leads to the moral necessity to use our earthly time purposefully.

The slug has long been a symbol of sloth, reflecting it in its slow pace and apparent indifference; a sinful creature, cursed to crawl in the dirt.

Time, however, is best experienced by slowing down and would be impossible to perceive without standing still.
As it goes by, time is converted into memory, and lingers - like a slime trail - while the hours dissolve in an arbitary spatial direction.
