Emy Spinks is an autistic artist who is non-verbal, she has support in her studio space. As part of that support we celebrate key events each year including Pride. I believe it is important for Emy to be able to understand the importance that an event like Pride has and striving to achieve a more inclusive society. Emy created this piece after researching local pride events to attend and looking at other artists work to celebrate pride month. Her artwork allows her to express herself and connect with others. She continues to share her art both online, in shops and within the community such as at care homes.
