My practice is informed largely by Monty python at the moment and the dry quality of that humour. But I also allow for multiple meanings and ideas held within a singular painting or work. Even though there is an intellectual side to my practice where I find it deeply stimulating to research, I also love paint and the materiality of paint and what that can do visually when combined with certain ideas. Whether that be recurring motifs like a moustache which explores certain ideas surrounding masculinity for me and as a bisexual man as always been a place for discourse internally. So it's only natural that it occurs within my practice where my subconscious is cultivated and feed off discussion and ideas.
