Aujourd’hui, la distanciation sociale prend une place centrale dans notre société, qu’elle soit horizontale, dans le cadre de l’épidémie COVID-19, ou verticale, dans le cadre des discriminations raciales. L’écart entre les hommes se fait de plus en plus grand. Notre œuvre souhaite accompagner le visiteur dans cette prise de conscience et dénoncer cette distanciation, qui rend de plus en plus difficiles les relations humaines. Comment en est-on arrivé à un tel éloignement de notre prochain, un tel manque d’humanisme, qui induit des hostilités et des violences incompréhensibles à l’égard de nos semblables ?
Un triptyque ayant pour thème central la distanciation imposée de 1m50, invite à réfléchir sur ce qu’est l'humain aujourd’hui. La figure de l’humanisme par excellence, l’Homme de Vitruve, est ici mise en opposition avec ce manque d’humanité induit par la distanciation sociale, qu’elle soit sanitaire ou raciale. Le mélange des styles classique et contemporain représente l’intemporalité de ces problématiques. La dichotomie entre la vision paisible, géométrique de l'Homme de Vitruve et le chaos des personnages de Keith Haring nous rappelle la réalité de cette urgence humaine et sociale.

Today, social distancing takes a central place in our society, whether horizontal, in the context of the COVID-19 epidemic, or vertical, in the context of racial discrimination. The distance separating us is getting bigger and bigger. Our work aims to support the visitor in this awareness and denounce this distancing, which makes human relationships more and more difficult. How did we arrive at such a distancing from our neighbour, such a lack of humanism, which induces hostilities and incomprehensible violence

A triptych whose central theme is the imposed distance of 1.50m, invites you to reflect on what it means to be human today.The figure of humanism par excellence, the Vitruvian Man, is here contrasted with this lack of humanity induced by social distancing, be it health or racial. The mixture of classic and contemporary styles represents the timelessness of these issues. The dichotomy between the peaceful, geometric vision of Vitruvian Man and the chaos of the characters of Keith Haring reminds us of the reality of this human and social emergency.
