The Hidden Secrets of Eating Disorders - Performance
, 2017
Standing outside my school library, I took off my clothes until only wearing a bodysuit as flurries of snow fell from the sky. I wrote words and phrases that would fill my disordered eating thoughts along my body in black ink then made a declaration on our society’s unrealistic beauty standards that limit an individual's worth to the number they are on a scale. During this hour-long performance, I invited the public to write on my body in periwinkle, the color of eating disorder awareness.
