FIRST PLACE WINNER

This work, Ondine, is a personal accomplishment of my spirit as I overcome how people “see” a “blind person.” It is also a celebration of Memento Vivere—live for the moment to celebrate life for all we have is now.
The ocean produces half of the world's oxygen and is a life source in all ancient cultures. Since the beginning of time, humans have feared and respected the ocean. It reminds us of a hidden part of our ancestors deep within us that calls out to us. Furthermore, the ocean, birds, water, and dragonflies represent Florida’s beauty.
