Shipwreck in a Storm of Colour , 2021
36 x 54 cm (h x w)
Painting on Digital Print

The image depicts a shipwreck with one ship in the painting surrounded by the dark harsh sea water crushing around the ship taking it deeper into the water. The sky filled with a variety of colours form a contrast to the dark waters, creating an abstract almost dreamlike sequence. The juxtaposition between the water around the ship and the bright colourful sky creates the perfect balance between dark and light, perhaps suggesting that amongst the darkest of storms, there is always some form of hope that once a storm passes a new adventure is just beyond reach (or in this case the shore).
