Ασπροπάρης (Neophron percnopterus). Μεταναστευτικό απειλούμενο είδος γύπα που ξεχειμωνιάζει στην Αφρική. Θεωρείται ένα από τα εξυπνότερα πουλιά στον κόσμο, όχι μόνο γιατί ανακαλύφθηκε ότι χρησιμοποιεί εργαλεία, αλλά και επειδή παρατηρήθηκε να «διδάσκει» σε άλλα άτομα του είδους πώς να επιλέγουν τις κατάλληλες πέτρες ώστε να σπάσουν αυγά στρουθοκαμήλου!

Egyptian vulture (Neophron percnopterus). An endangered migratory species of vulture that winters in Africa. It is considered one of the smartest birds in the world, not only because it was has been observed to use tools, but also because they have been seen to “teach” other birds of their species how to choose the right stones to break ostrich eggs!
