A dance between being free and sticking to a task, paying attention and losing track of what you're doing.

I saw a certain amount of sternness in the reference photo of Frida, but what I also saw was a gentle softness and radiance, this painting is my an attempt at portraying that underlying energy.

Creating this image allowed me to loosen up in an unplanned manner and see what comes... thank you Frida for that opportunity... and thank you Amanda and Alecia for holding that space.
