Il 5 marzo 2020 l’artista pubblica un controverso post satirico su Instagram, in cui accosta il SARS-CoV-2 alla pasta: di “invenzione” cinese, ma esportato e diffuso nel mondo grazie agli italiani. A questa affermazione, che ha suscitato grande disappunto, sono seguiti numerosi repost di testate giornalistiche simili a ready-made, come la prima pagina del “The Guardian”, in cui è fotografato un operatore civile che misura la febbre ad un passante, o i necrologi de “L’eco di Bergamo”, che attestano l’inesorabile perdita di vite umane.

On 5 March 2020, the artist published a controversial satirical post on Instagram, in which he compared SARS-CoV-2 to “pasta”: a Chinese "invention", but exported and spread throughout the world thanks to the Italians. This statement, which caused great disappointment, was followed by numerous ready-mades re-posts of newspapers , such as the first page of "The Guardian", with a picture of a community operator measuring a passer-by's fever, or the obituaries of "L'eco di Bergamo", which attest the inexorable loss of human life.
