Annibale Carracci (1560–1609) was a highly popular and important figure during the creation of the Baroque style in Southern Italy.
It is known that Carracci utilized mirrors and reflection to perfect his own technique as an artist. In this image, he has used multiple perspective depth to frame a self portrait.
