Als ich das Bild Nr. 04 „Silberdrops“ sah, wusste ich sofort, das möchte ich ausprobieren.
Mich haben die silbernen Knöpfe an die Luftpolsterfolie (Verpackungsmaterial die so schön ploppt, wenn man sie zwischen den Fingern zerdrückt!) erinnert. Also überlegte ich mir die silbernen Knöpfe plastisch zu gestalten. Ich verwendete bei meinem Mini-Quilt die Trapunto Technik und quiltete die Knöpfe mit der Hand. Irgendwie verleitet mein Bild dazu, auf die bauchigen, weichen Knöpfe zu drücken!
Daher nenne ich meinen Mini-Quilt „Push the button“.
When I saw the picture No 04 " Silver Blobs", I immediately knew that I wanted to try this one.
The silver buttons reminded me of the bubble wrap (the packaging material that makes a funny "plopp" sound when you squeeze it between your fingers). So I thought about designing the silver buttons three-dimensionally. For my quilt I used the Trapunto technique and hand-quilted the buttons. Somehow you get also tempted to push the bouffant soft buttons on my picture! Therefore, I call my mini quilt "Push the Button".
