Religious groups helped during WW2, the sons and daughters were sent to military, they worked in industries and prayed for safety and victory. They expressed concern about human rights and some even protested against the segregation of blacks. WW2 gave the opportunity to people to express their patriotism, but also their religious relief, but this also produced tension between these ideals.
