Arrival at camps

The future prisioners were promised a new land of opportunities, where they would have a decent job to feed their family and themselves.

They were transported to the camps in trains (with roughly 100 people in a small wagon)
When they arrived to the camps, men and women were separated, and the kids would go with their moms.

Whoever wasn’t apt for working, they would be directly taken to the gas chambers, where they would be murdered.

The ones who survived the so called “selection” had to be shaved and undressed. This was done to remove any human dignity or personal identity.

The prisioners were later divided into sections, according to their ethnicity or believes. They were accused of being asocial and therefore not worth being part of a free community.

At their arrival they also went through a collection of personal belongings, and the valuable stuff would be taken back to Germany, were these items would be sold.
After all of these, they would be given a uniform, which was a black and white striped pijama.
