I am in quarantine alone. “Isolation (Self)” is an ongoing series of self-portraits created while in quarantine during the COVID- 19 pandemic. The series explores the range of my isolation related emotions and anxieties, from the panic and sense of loss experienced in the early lockdown days to the desire for intimacy, severe loneliness and disconnection felt after more than four months alone. The images were created using an antique wooden view camera and the cyanotype prints were contact-printed directly from my camera negatives.
