Living Room , 2021
Installation

While the Monuments (2017) series is a mourning for a loss of public space I once enjoyed, the installation Living Room (2021) represents a personal and internal space.

It references objects from the living rooms of my childhood homes. I see these objects as vessels that carry my memories, stories and relations with family and community. In remembering those spaces that I lived in and experienced as home once upon a time, but which are now just a memory, fills me with a strange mix of joyful nostalgia and alone- ness.
