An outstanding example, “Wings of the Morning,” shows the streamliner, City of San Francisco, heading east from East Riverdale Yard in Ogden, Utah, in 1939. In the beginning days of his photography, Beebe championed the three-quarters, or wedge-of-pie view, of the side and full length of the train.
