A wonderful ancient holloway that connects the two chalk outcrops near the Somerset Wiltshire border. Luxuriant wild vegetation that perfectly adorns this ancient byway that people have travelled through for generations. Like many such lanes that meander through the landscape they become part of it and part of a communal historical map. As such they link us to the landscape. Whilst dark in places the sunlight through the tree canopy is comforting and the path leading on provides direction and a sense of anticipation for what lies ahead.
