Beim Anblick des Blumenbildes von 50pictures kamen mir Bilder von schön gepflegten Schlossgärten in den Sinn, die ich mir so gerne ansehe. Meist gibt es dort auch schmiedeeiserne Gitter und Tore, also durfte das auf meinem Quilt nicht fehlen.
Der eigentliche Grund aber, warum ich mir gerade dieses Bild aussuchte, war wohl der Kauf eines "Jojo-Makers". All meine Patchwork Bekanntschaften waren meist entsetzt, wenn sie hörten, dass ich noch nie einen Jojo-Maker verwendet habe, wo dieses Ding doch so praktisch ist! Dies war nun die Gelegenheit, mein neu erstandenes Hilfsmittel zu testen... und ich weiß jetzt schon, dass ich mir noch eine zweite Größe kaufen werde... Wie in meinem eigenen Garten, leben die Natur und die Pflanzen nach eigenen Regeln. So sehr ich mich auch bemühte ein Quadrat von 30cm x 30cm zu nähen, die Quilt-Natur sträubte sich dagegen und gestaltete ihr eigenes Format. (die +- 10% wurden berücksichtigt!)
Flowerage
When I saw the flowers image of 50pictures, the well-kept castle gardens came to my mind, which I love to look at. Mostly there are also wrought iron grilles and gates, so these could not be missing on my quilt.
The real reason, however, why I just chose this picture was probably the purchase of a "yo-yo maker". All my Patchwork acquaintances were mostly surprised when they heard that I had never used a yo-yo maker since this thing really is so convenient! Now, this was the opportunity to test my newly bought tool ... and now I know that I'm going to buy me a second size ... As in my own garden, nature and plants live by their own rules. As much as I tried to make a square quilt of 30cm x 30cm, my nature as a quilter resisted and designed a very own format (the + - 10% were taken into account!)
