This piece was for a themed art show. The curator was asking for a "Boss Lady" piece. I was inspired by the woman I see in my community riding around in low rider bikes and BMX bikes. "Look At Me" is a phrase repeated in a rap song by the artist Cardi B. I felt that that song captures the spirit of a woman of color living in my community in the city of Los Angeles.
