Für mich als Quilterin ist Baumwolle eines der schönsten natürlichen Produkte, die ich sehr gerne verarbeite. Deshalb hat mich dieses Thema sofort angesprochen.

Für meine Kuschelquilts verwende ich ausschließlich Baumwollstoffe. Sie geben Wärme und Geborgenheit, gerade in der kalten Jahreszeit. Da ein Stoff schöner als der andere ist, macht schon das Auswählen der Stoffe genauso viel Freude wie das Nähen.

Für meinen Miniquilt habe ich mir eine halb geöffnete Baumwollkapsel vorgestellt, die gerade reift und sich langsam öffnet. Ein wunderschöner Vorgang in der Natur.

Cotton - My Favourite Material

For me as a quilter, cotton is one of the most beautiful natural products and one which I love to work with. Therefore photo No. 26 attracted me immediately.

For my "cuddly" bed quilts, I only use cotton fabrics. They give warmth and a sense of security, especially in the cold season. Since one piece of fabric is more beautiful than the next, choosing fabric is as much fun as the sewing itself.

For my miniquilt, I imagined a half-opened cotton boll which is ripening and opening slowly. A marvellous process in nature.
