After Serving the majority of his duty at Art Center College of Design, Armyan’s schooling came to an abrupt end the instant classes moved completely online due to the pandemic, with academic values in one hand and the spite of them in the other, dualistically forging a design language half influenced by the masters Armyan was fortunate to learn from, contrasted by something he holds from childhood that is guided by nature and cannot be touched. Besides technique, the subject matter Armyan’s my Images are influenced by both western and eastern philosophy, and the firm belief that the subconscious mind can be reverse engineered to find things that lay at the roots of oneself, this pursuit can reveal patterns from within that expose aspects of the soul, and hopefully resonate with a truth that exists beyond just the artist. To do this requires being honest with the way Armyan thinks and feels, lots of shadow work, and attempting to depict incommensurable things that he cannot explain with words alone. As romantic as it sounds, Armyan truly creates to practice his own emergence, constantly challenging and actualizing aspects of himself is the only thing he can truly control, so art allows him to stay a complete, growing person, and continue to seek out Dharma that will positively affect the world around him.
