Artist Statement
This cheerful series of small wall sculptures represent the beautiful equilibrium of life. At first glance the protruding limbs appear to be in the throes of the birthing process, the small bouncy flowers growing out of the fingers and toes presenting the viewer with a joyful bouquet, while gleefully reminding us of the natural inevitabilities of life: death. While this juxtaposition may be jarring, it is presented with a playful whimsy and acceptance of our fleeting nature.
