My name is Tommy and I’m native to Tampa, FL. When I was young, I contracted spinal meningitis. During my seven month recovery, I filled my time by drawing. Today, my love of art and deep religious faith sustains me. Most of my work includes painting on wooden surfaces with subjects that combine religious scenes from the Bible with a nature setting. I specialize in mixing acrylics to create my own colors and bring out the highlights of the subject matter on the wood. My surreal, folk art works have been very well sought out with Main Street Gallery hosting my pieces for consignment in Clayton, Georgia. My skills have been well developed over time through my many years of being a member at Project Return. I want to thank God for the talent he gave me. I owe my success to my dad who would be very proud of me if he was alive today and my supportive mother.
