Collapsed, Dried-up, Helpless.
That is how the corpse was found. Taking the life of a living being is considered one of the most atrocious acts that can be committed. Does this mean that an inanimate entity cannot be killed?
The crime scene of Argentina is full of clues, and even in this case those who committed this terrible crime left traces that we made available to you to try to understand what happened.
Corralito is the term with which, during the Argentine economic crisis, the restriction on the free disposal of cash from current accounts and savings banks, imposed by the government of Fernando de la Rúa in December 2001, was called. Argentina owed $128 billion in debt. Normal interest plus the premium amounted to $27 billion a year. In other words, Argentina's people didn't net one penny from the $20 billion in "bailout" loans. The debt grew, but none of the money escaped New York, where it lingered to pay interest to U.S. creditors holding the bonds.
Our immersive experience will give the spectator the chance to enter the crime scene, making the installation interactive. An investigation that will lead to answering the main question: “Who killed Argentina?”.
