My artwork begins with a word or phrase that I use as the title, which I physically write on the canvas. The concept behind my associations with the given title is what’s most important as I choose the colour palette for each painting. My goal is to embrace the universal emotions that colours invoke and pair them with words. Communicating a common understanding of the connections between the given title and the visual elements within the artwork.
