Golden hour at Ogwen Valley
Category Landscape
[BPA2024-29]

I popped over to the Ogwen Valley, Eryri as it felt like the perfect location to celebrate St David's Day, 1st March, 2022. I appreciated the glorious sunshine and zero clouds in the sky for the full afternoon but not ideal in terms of photography. However, in true Snowdonia fashion, clouds started to bubble in time for the golden hour which is without doubt my favorite time of the day to take a photo. I used my iPhone 12 Pro Max to take this handheld shot - 22mm, f2.4, ISO 25 at 1/680s. Post editing on Snapseed. The lowering sun helped to highlight the mighty Tryfan and the unusual cloudage helped to give some definition. A perfect ending to St David's Day.
