Disconnection from nature can separate one from reality and warp their self perception. Social media in particular portrays human nature through a hyper altered and filtered lens, creating unrealistic body standards. The girl imagines herself stripped from undesirable features. However, her oversimplified body becomes ugly and unnatural as it is removed from all that is unique. This work is inspired by personal experience and warns against the dangers of living by unnatural social constructs.
