This portrait of my best friend and myself, shows the personality traits we bring out in each other. I present the liveliness of our friendship through colour while also practicing skin tones. I struggled with the composition eventually allowing my friend to dominate it. I prefer to have a discrete presence in my work. I also found the skin tones difficult but quickly learned the colour quantities for highlights and shadowed areas.
