When painting the view from the balcony of my new apartment, I did a lot of thinking about the nature of "home," memory, and nostalgia, which are very ephemeral and bittersweet things for me.

What does "pride" mean to you?
"Pride" mean means standing up straight and shining instead of curling up around everything that you're trying protect. It means boldly sharing instead of hiding.
