Dana Chang is a London-based Taiwanese artist. Coming from an Eastern background but deeply influenced by Surrealism and Western art since a very young age, she conveys her interpretation of legends from both cultures through surreal compositions in her collage artworks. From East Asian belief in the red thread of fate and reincarnation to Greek mythologies of three goddesses of destiny and mother nature, Dana explores these legends by incorporating her personal experiences, her thoughts on women's emancipation, and an aim to raise environmental awareness. Through her practice of merging physical and digital art forms, various narratives are unveiled in this modern mix of realistic subjects and a surrealistic framework.
