For decades Merritt Johnson’s work has navigated the spaces between bodies and the body politic, land and cultures. This work addresses the devastating impact corporations have had on our democracy, as well as the validity and accuracy of non-linear methods for data collecting procured through indigenous people’s spiritual disciplines, and the prophecies that can result.

For more on the Black Snake Prophecy see the work and writing of Mariee Sioux in this exhibition.
