In the 1950s, Schlitz reigned as the Milwaukee Road’s largest beer client with six tracks leading into the complex, each capable of holding six forty-foot freight cars. A Fairbanks-Morse H-12-44 switch engine sits on one of these tracks at the Schlitz brewery. West Cherry and North Second streets both cross the tracks just behind the locomotive. Abbey-01-084-002
