Melissa Sheldrick is a teacher who now works as a Patient and Family Advisor. Mom to two beautiful kids, she began her advocacy work 5 years ago after learning that her 8-year-old son, Andrew, died of a medication error. Since that time, she has been spreading the message that reporting medication errors is necessary to the prevention of future errors. Photography is Melissa’s hobby. She finds that the lens of her camera captures emotion and tells powerful stories. She enjoys landscape and urban photography as well as architecture and patterns.
