Canned Road Trip | Voyage en voiture conservé , 2020
20 x 16 in (h x w)
Acrylic on canvas

One of my joys is to spontaneously get into the car and drive somewhere. Exploring, discovering, watching the scenery go by, all serve to lift me out of my routine. With the change of scenery I feel refreshed and can go back to my day to day life seeing things anew.

During the pandemic all travel is restricted. I am in the same place with the same people doing limited activities. Nothing is spontaneous. Every outing is carefully calculated and planned.
Every interaction measured and accounted for.I have had to shelve my plans. They are preserved for the future.
