Mischtechnik, Kaffeesatz, Pigmente mit Hautleim auf Leinwand

This picture breathes. The artist Marlene Amort has mixed mineral colors with hide glue for her work "Zerrissenheit". This creates a uniquely cracked surface that changes depending on temperature fluctuations: The painting breathes. With the work, the artist wants to express her discomfort during the Corona period. Although she is actually a person who flourishes when she is in nature and can put her hands in the earth, she lacked communication with other people. In this respect, the work shown here represents her desire to break out of her prescribed confinement.
