The Blue Hour , 2021
soft and oil pastel on paper

"I was inspired by the evening twilight when the sun sinks below the horizon and casts an alluring blue colour. It’s as if I am standing at a window and the blue light reflects against my face.
I used pencil to draw my portrait and then used soft oil pastels in four different shades of blue to add depth and definition. I used a vibrant magenta for the background. "
